Experienced Floor Staff

About the Role

Hen’s Teeth is a vibrant and dynamic events and cultural space located in the heart of Dublin 8. We are a hub for creativity and community, hosting a diverse range of events from elegant weddings and intimate pop-up dinners to high-energy DJ nights and cultural performances. We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Floor Staff / Team Member to join our passionate team.

Role Overview

As a Floor Staff Team Member, you'll be a crucial part of our front-of-house operations, ensuring every event runs smoothly and our guests have an exceptional experience. You'll be responsible for providing outstanding service, preparing and serving beverages, and maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our space. This is a hands-on role that requires flexibility, a positive attitude, and a commitment to excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet and serve guests with a friendly and professional demeanor.

  • Prepare and serve a full range of beverages, with a focus on high-quality barista skills for coffee and tea service.

  • Work as part of the bar team to serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks during events.

  • Set up and clear down event spaces efficiently and to a high standard, including tables, chairs, and other event-specific equipment.

  • Assist with guest check-in and provide information about events and venue facilities.

  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including the bar, service areas, and back-of-house spaces.

  • Handle cash and card payments accurately and efficiently.

  • Anticipate guest needs and respond to requests promptly to ensure a positive guest experience.

  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including food and beverage handling protocols.

Key Requirements

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar front-of-house, hospitality, or events-based role.

  • Proven barista training and experience is essential. You must be comfortable and skilled at preparing a variety of coffee drinks.

  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • A positive, can-do attitude and a strong work ethic.

  • Must be available to work late nights, weekends, and public holidays as required by our events calendar.

  • A strong sense of responsibility and attention to detail.

  • Knowledge of health and safety standards in a hospitality setting.
